This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

"Account" means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.
"Application" means the software program provided by the Company, downloaded by You on any electronic device, named EZBounds.
"Company" (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Policy) refers to EZBounds SOFTWARE LLC, 3083 Rapidfall Ct NE, Belmont, MI, 49306, USA.
"Country" refers to the USA.
"Cookies" are small files that are placed on Your computer, mobile device or any other device by a website, containing the details of Your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
"Device" means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
"Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
"Project Content" means the projects, legal land descriptions, metes-and-bounds text, plats, maps, drawings, generated CAD and geospatial files (including DXF, KML and TXT exports), images, scans, photographs and notes that You create, upload, or generate through the Service.
"Service" refers to the Application and the Website.
"Service Provider" means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals engaged by the Company to facilitate the Service or to provide the Service on behalf of the Company — for example, Our payment processor and Our hosting provider. We do not engage Service Providers for analytics or for sending email; We perform those functions Ourselves.
"Usage Data" refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
"You" means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
We ask You for as little as possible. The only information We require You to provide is:
Your email address — used to create and identify Your Account, to sign You in, and to contact You about the Service.
The state You work in — used to load the correct PLSS survey data for Your projects.
Beyond that, We collect the Project Content You choose to create or upload, and Usage Data as described below.
We do not ask for Your name, Your phone number, Your mailing address, or Your date of birth, and there is no field in the Application for providing them. We do not request access to Your device's location, contacts, or calendar.
When You use the Service to create, scan, parse or export a project, We collect and store the Project Content associated with Your Account. This is limited to what You choose to put into the Service: the images and document scans You upload, the land descriptions You type or dictate, the project name and address You enter, the geometry and coordinates We calculate from them, and the files We generate for You.
We only ever access images You explicitly select or capture for a project. We do not scan, index, or upload the rest of Your photo library.
Project Content may itself contain Personal Data — for example, a deed description may name a property owner, or a project record may include a street address. We treat Project Content that contains Personal Data as Personal Data under this Policy.
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.
The Application asks Your permission before using the following device features. Each is requested only at the point You use the feature it supports, and You may decline or later revoke any of them in Your Device settings.
The Application does not request or collect Your device's location. When a project has an address, it is because You typed or dictated that address Yourself; We convert it to map coordinates to draw the project, and We do not track where You or Your device are.
Images and text captured through these permissions are uploaded to Our servers as part of Your Project Content so that We can parse them and sync Your projects.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service.
To contact You: To contact You by email, by in-app support messages, or by push notification, regarding updates, security notices, replies to Your support requests, and other communications related to the functionality of the Service. Because We do not collect a phone number, We will never contact You by telephone or SMS.
To provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that You have already purchased or enquired about unless You have opted not to receive such information.
To demonstrate, promote and market the Service: as described in Project Content and Marketing Use below.
To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.
For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and Your experience.
We may use Project Content You create or submit through the Service to demonstrate, promote, market and advertise the Service. This is in addition to using Project Content to provide the Service to You. The license You grant Us to do this is set out in Section 5 of our Terms of Service; this section describes how We handle Your information when We exercise it.

Before using Project Content publicly for marketing, We will take reasonable steps to de-identify it. Specifically, We will remove, blur, or replace:
We will not publish Your name, Your business name, or a testimonial attributed to You unless You have separately given Us written permission to do so.
You can tell Us not to use Your Project Content for marketing at any time, for any reason, and We will honor that request. To opt out, email support@ezbounds.com from the email address associated with Your Account, or sign in to the App and reach Us via Menu → Chat with us.
Opting out applies to future marketing use. Where Your Project Content already appears in published material, We will remove it from channels We control within a reasonable period after Your request. We may be unable to recall material already distributed offline, printed, or re-shared by third parties.
Opting out of marketing use does not affect Your ability to use the Service, and does not change how We use Project Content to provide the Service to You.
We may share Your personal information in the following situations:
We do not sell Your Personal Data or Your Project Content.
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain Your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
De-identified Project Content that has already been incorporated into published marketing material may be retained after You delete Your Account, because it no longer identifies You.
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

We keep Our use of third-party processors deliberately minimal. Aside from payment processing and the hosting infrastructure Our servers run on, We do not hand Your Personal Data to outside vendors. Any such provider collects, stores, uses, processes and transfers information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
We do not use any third-party analytics service. We do not embed advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics software in the Application, and We do not send Your usage data to analytics vendors, data brokers, or ad networks.
Any usage analysis We perform is done in-house, on Our own infrastructure, using Usage Data We collect directly through the Service. We use it to understand which features are used, diagnose errors, and improve the Service.
We send email Ourselves, from Our own systems. Account email, support replies, project file deliveries, and service notices are sent directly by Us. We do not use third-party email marketing, newsletter, or customer-messaging platforms, and We do not upload Your email address to such services.
In-app support conversations run on Our own infrastructure and are not routed through an outside help-desk provider.
We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, We use a third-party payment processor to handle the transaction. Payment card details are provided directly to that processor and are not stored by Us.
Our payment processor is Stripe. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent's consent before We collect and use that information.
Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
